Jammie Workshop

Workshop: Please Put On your Pajamas (and other administrative affairs)

1. Please Put On your Pajamas

Okay, there =was= a Japanese television program with that title a few years ago, but this isn't that. This is a Workshop. Workshop topics in the quiver just at present include something from Lady Philyra that I think we're all going to really enjoy, and a request from Nice Vita for something to tackle the vexed issue of physical action. But right now I need a break from reality, and therefore I would like to ask your indulgence in workshopping Please Put On your Pajamas.

In this workshop, you write a short scene in which the SAJV character of your choice has a nice warm bath (bubbles optional) (backscrubber optional) and puts on his or her jammies, or equivalent, and tucks him or herself into bed or is tucked (your choice). These do not have to be naughty scenes; if you want to get suggestive, nobody is going to complain, but please keep it strictly SJJV (not SJJVA).

In order to excuse this transparent ploy to obtain cuddly scenes as a workshop I will make the following stipulations:

(1) The action should be described in narrative, rather than related in dialog; you can have dialog, but the scene should describe the physical action. I want to smell that bath oil, people!!

(2) You can select an episode to make this a missing scene of (!!!!) but you don't have to.

(3) To each and every scene that is written for this workshop I will append a paragraph in which the character gets a nice drink of water, or a cup of hot milk, or a nice cup of cocoa. With marshmallows. Maybe. Unless you'd rather I didn't, in which case I won't. Maybe a cookie, too. Or not.

If you elect to participate, you will all have until the 15th of April or thirty days after I post an example scene (whichever comes first) to send me your scene so that I can collect them and write the cocoa codicilia.

Oh -- and the other administrative affairs -- I might mention that April 1st is coming up, and sometimes unusual things happen to stories in process on April 1st. I just thought I'd mention it. Sort of an encouragement, you know.

Submitted for your consideration,

Odensdisir
