"Passepartout, she is gone. We must leave." Jules urges.
In his head, Jean hears her soft voice.
"Call to me, and I will come." Lydia whispers. "There is no boundary I would not cross to be with you."
"Lydia, return to me!" He calls.
Once again they are bathed in whiteness, a crack opens from within light and a shadowy form walks from it. She collapses in Jean's arms, and he whisks her away following Phileas' lead to the out of doors.
As they retreat a loud rumbling is heard, and the floor begins to tremble as though the earth herself had been enraged by their actions. The walls of the old castle begin to crumble and fall. The men scatter in fear, leaving Gregory stranded in the lower levels as chaos finally consumes the old structure.
